We’re currently looking for a senior brand strategist, human centred designer or qualitative insights specialist to help us evolve and grow our Auckland studio.
Since 1995, Principals has been built around the strength of our strategic capability. In this leadership role you’d be responsible for leading insightful and original brand strategy work. This includes the creative freedom to help our clients adapt to the brand and experience challenges and opportunities faced by their organisations, products, services and cultures.
Beyond this, you’ll strengthen existing senior client relationships, develop new relationships and create opportunities to solve problems and help further grow our business.
Alongside our local and international teams, you’ll deliver work for our clients that enables positive change for their brands, their customers and – where possible – the community more broadly.

Whether it’s in brand consultancy, human centred design, product and service innovation or customer insight, you’ll bring significant experience and expertise to our team. Building on your solid understanding of brand strategy and experience design, you’ll also have knowledge of customer research techniques.

A positive team player and quick thinker with excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills, you’ll bring some curiosity and insight into what makes people think and act the way they do.

Our team of 80 people (including 12 strategists) are based in all sorts of interesting places, but mainly in our studios in Auckland, Sydney and Melbourne. The value we place on insights led brand strategy and human centred design is unique and one of the keys to our success over the past 27 years.
In the New Zealand team of ten we have strategists, designers and project leaders. We’ve been growing for a decade and have been fortunate enough to work on many well-known Kiwi brands in that time. We work from anywhere but more often from our Shortland Street studio complete with a sun drenched deck and pohutakawa.
